He comprado un mac mini de segunda mano, y antes de instalarle un sistema operativo libre, estoy probando Mac OS X. De momento he tropezado con un problema: entre como entre en suspensión (tras 15 minutos de inactividad, menu manzana -> reposo o tocando el botón de atrás), al pulsar el teclado no vuelve a la vida. Creo que el LED blanco frontal debería parpadear al entrar en reposo, pero tampoco lo hace, permanece encendido.
Consultando a Queru, me dijo que quizás debería reinicializar la RAM de parámetros. Lo he hecho, y en efecto, ya funciona con toda normalidad 
La RAM de parámetros (PRAM) de las computadoras Apple es una memoria permanente que contiene algunos datos de configuración del ordenador, similar al BIOS de los PC compatibles.
Por razones desconocidas, puede suceder que se estropee, afectando al funcionamiento del Mac. Este problema se puede solucionar reinicializando la P-RAM:
Mantén pulsadas las teclas Comando-Opción-P-R mientras arrancas la computadora (con cuidado de no tener activadado el bloqueo de las mayúsculas), y no las sueltes hasta que el BONG de arranque haya sonado dos veces.
Otra acción que soluciona muchos problemas del Mac OS X es reestablecer los permisos.

A mi me paso algo similar.
En realidad lo que pasó es que yo había activado el hack “suspend-to-disk” y al reinstalar se jodió el invento. No es que se hubiese podrido la PR ni nada de eso, cosa que a mí no me ha pasado nunca en tres años de maquero.
Lo de los permisos si que cascaba en anteriores versiones de MacOS X, pero en las dos últimas o así no me ha fallado nunca.
