Bastet (que significa bastard tetris) es un clon libre del Tetris para sistemas de tipo Unix, basado en las bibliotecas ncurses. Fue escrito por Federico Poloni a partir del petris de Peter Seidler, y ha sido empaquetado para Debian por David Moreno Garza. Pero a diferencia del Tetris normal, no envía las piezas al azar, sino que utiliza un algoritmo especial, diseñado para ser «tan cabrón como sea posible»: intenta calcular lo útil que es cada bloque, y te envía uno de los que menos necesites (75% de probabilidades de que sea el peor, 17% para el segundo peor y 6% para el tercero peor).
Abandoned Bricks es un programa gráfico multiplataforma que incorpora un modo bastet. Como puedes imaginar, jugar al bastet puede ser una experiencia bastante frustrante. Si tras probarlo necesitas relajar tu cerebro y subir tu autoestima, prueba el tetris unidimensional.
